Cattails On The Belle Fourche River
Cattails On The Belle Fourche River
Oil painting on stretched canvas by Mary Ann Larsen
The Belle Fourche River undulates through the northern Black Hills of South Dakota.
I completed this art piece near the Belle Fourche Reservoir in an open meadow, lush with cattails and abundant plant life in the early spring. Notice how a storm is beginning to appear as the sky takes on the bright colors of a sunset.
